Herrings Mill Farmhouse, Kent

Our brief was to provide a conservatory to act as dining room in this late nineteenth century farmhouse, which had already been extended twice.
The clients were persuaded to build a garden room so as to achieve greater thermal comfort. Detailing of the room was designed to set off the client’s cut glass chandelier.
A rooflight was introduced to provide more daylight, the site being constrained by rising ground and a large magnolia tree.
Landscaping works were carried out to form paved terraces.
