After qualifying at Cambridge University, Paul worked and taught at Newcastle University Project Office for two years before moving to London and working with practices specialising in new build and rehabilitated housing for local authorities and housing associations.
Paul joined Burns Guthrie and Partners in 1986, becoming an Associate in 1988 and a Partner in 1990. Paul specialises in school projects, especially those in the voluntary aided sector. His experience ranges from the preparation of master plans for future developments, through the design and construction of new schools and major school extensions, to minor alteration works and building maintenance. His particular expertise is in the analysis of each client brief to ensure that the most cost effective solution is developed.
