Professional Career

Before joining Burns Guthrie and Partners in 1959, John Woods was Assistant to Robert Scott of Sir Giles Scott Son and Partners.

During his lengthy career John has initiated and been involved in many of the major commissions undertaken by the Practice including schools, hospitals and care premises. He has also been actively engaged in the design of private housing, shops, offices and churches. The new Church of St Bernadette of Lourdes in north Kent was of particular note.

John served as a Partner from 1984 until April 2000. He now acts as Consultant to Burns Guthrie and Partners, maintains his enthusiasm for the cinema and enjoys the company of his grandchildren.
