Gravesend Library

Following preparation of a feasibility study, Burns Guthrie and Partners have now been commissioned to obtain planning permission for the refurbishment of Gravesend Library, a listed Carnegie building.
The demolition of the adjoining building which is also used by the library service will allow
a new 300m2 building to be constructed which will provide state of the art library facilities
and which may also be used by the Adult Education Service.


Client: Kent County Council.
Contract value: over £1 million.
Programme: Completion scheduled for end 2010.
