Following preparation of a feasibility study, Burns Guthrie and Partners
have now been commissioned to obtain planning permission for the refurbishment
of Gravesend Library, a listed Carnegie building.
The
demolition of the adjoining building which is also used by the library service
will allow
a new 300m2 building to be constructed which will provide state of the art
library facilities
and which may also be used by the Adult Education Service.
Client: Kent County Council. Contract value: over £1 million. Programme: Completion scheduled for end 2010.
